SAN DIEGO at NEW YORK

Back in action today with my 60 Dime Winner # 13 out of 17, my A.L. Moneymaker of the Year on the Red Sox-Twins.

::GRAB_BOX::

I'm on a 12-4-1 run with 60 Dimers, including 7-3 in baseball this season.

I've had 25 baseball plays over the past nine weeks.

I've gone 17-8 with those releases for a net profit of 535 dimes, hitting 14 of the last 19.

A $10 bettor has won over 5 Grand with those 25 plays.

Remember, guys, I'm all about value. When I see it, I pounce. When I don't see it, I simply sit tight and wait for another day. Because unlike most losers in this business, I don't need to have action every single day. I only need to have action when I know with 100 percent certainty that the odds are heavily tilted in my favor of WINNING.

Moving on to my free pick....

Going to ride the red-hot Padres over the injury-riddled Mets for Monday's comp play.

San Diego is coming off a three-game road sweep of the Pirates, outscoring the Bucs 35-10 in the series. For all of their struggles this season, the Padres are actually playing .500 ball on the road.

New York not only lost 6-5 at home to the Braves yesterday, but also saw their best healthy hitters, Jose Reyes (hamstring) and Daniel Murphy (knee), felled by injuries.

The Mets are in a 1-6 tailspin and tonight face Tim Stauffer, who has quietly put together a 1.97 ERA in his last 11 starts.

Too many injuries to back New York and too cheap of a price to ignore San Diego.

BOSTON at MINNESOTA

By Jeff Benton, Featured Handicapper

Looking for the most lopsided game of the day? Well, I've found it.

There's a reason I'm known as the Big Play Specialist at this site - and in this industry - and I'm proving it again today with my 60 Dime Winner # 10 out of 12, my Run Line Lock of the Month.

Perspective....

This play is just as big as Sunday's 60 Dime Winner on the Brewers 7-3 at Houston.

It's just as powerful as Saturday's 60 Dime Winner on the Cards 2-1 at Florida.

It's just as big as my 60 Dime Winner on Dallas in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

I've won three straight 30 dimers and this play is TWICE as big as all of them.

Bottom line, guys: They call me The Big Play Specialist for a reason. And today you learn how and why I've earned that nickname as I score with my 60 Dime Winner # 10 out of 12, my Run Line Lock of the Month # 2 in a Row.

For Monday's free pick, I'm going to back the Minnesota Twins as the home underdog against the Boston Red Sox.

Well aware of the fact the Twins have lost their last four, and seven of their last eight overall, but tonight they catch Boston a bit flat-footed.

Boston made a late-night comeback last night to edge their bitter division-rivals the Yankees, 3-2 in 10-innings. That game did end after midnight eastern and the Sox then had to board their plane to Minnesota for tonight's game, which has been bumped up an hour in order to accommodate national TV.

Boston's Tim Wakefield hasn't allowed less than 3 earned runs in any of his last 8 starts, so you can expect the Minnesota bats to get their cuts in against the knuckleballer.

Scott Baker counters for the Twins, and has definitely pitched his best baseball of the season in his home park. Baker is 5-1 at Target Field this year with a 1.78 ERA. He's also on a 6-2 personal run his last 9 starts - 6 times holding the opposition to 2 runs or less in those 9 outings.

Boston has struggled when playing in the Twin Cities, as the BoSox are just 2-6 their last 8 visits to Minnesota.

3* MINNESOTA on a 1* to 5* Scale
